Hey guys just installed this unit w/ the counter weight that it came with. But it looks like the shifter sits at the same height if not taller than stock?! Iv been reading on the forum and ppl that installed this had their shifter shortened by half. Any input would help, thank you!!

By the way what position did you justs put the pivot ball in, I screwed mine striaght but the shifter feels very loose to the left, shifting is smooth though.

 

A short shifter is called "short" because it reduces the throw between shifts, not because the shifter is shorter in length.

the "throw" is reduced by a large percentage

not the "height"

 

What explains why other people have "shorter shifter stick"?
