Slow electrical drain?

What is the best method of telling if one has a slow drain or battery load?

My battery dies after 4-5 days of inactivaty. Mitsubishi attached a load tester to the battery, and that checked out fine. Alternator is good as well. Only thing that I did was install a JVC KD-NX5000 nav unit. I have a hunch that if it is a slow drain, it may be the powered antenna. I used a wiring harness however, so everything (except for the nav related wiring) is connected to the OE radio harness.

I'm hoping that it's just a bad battery that doesn't keep charge well. I don't see how it could be the powered antenna killing my battery, as once the vehicle is off, all power is shut off to the head unit, and as mentioned previously, the powered antenna connection to the head unit is tapped directly into the OE wire harness.

Very strange...

do you have any tools?

a DVOM and a quick disconnect for a battert terminal is necessary to dignos this problem.

its most likly a module that is not going to sleep, or that head unit not going to sleep.

Once I have the quick disconnect attached, what would be my methodology for testing with the DVOM? I'm not much of an electrical guy, so I'm sorry if my question sounds basic. Could you please elaborate on what I would need to do?

I believe your talking about a "parasitic drain" test... I'll try to find my booklet from UTI and describe the procedure.
