Well after pricing out the ARC replacement filters at $170 for both and a herendous shipping cost to Germany. I decided some simple green and running water was going to have to hold me over. Well lets just say they look brand new after 3 rinses with Simple Green Just something for all you ARC guys to look into. I wish I would have took before and after pictures.

 

i cleaned mine that way also but now they look almost pink

 

I don't know, I rinsed them right away and I don't see any fading. did you let it sit on them for a while?

 

i didnt think so. its not a big deal i will probably just end up getting new ones because i have washed mine 5 or 6 times.

 

That would explain it. I put about 6K on mine and they were starting to turn a little black. I am going to keep cleaning them untill they look bad. I couldn't believe how much they wanted for 2 damn filters.
