In virtually any other context that comment would really bother me but it seems to fit fine in this thread.

Very impressive to see what can be done to a IX RS.

What material are you doing the cage in? What is the expected weight gain?

With a guesstimated (sweet word) increase of 150lbs for the cage and decrease of 40lbs from the seats where is the extra ~50whp going to come from to trap 126? Or is your combo of parts now becoming "secret", TTP style?

Thanks for the props guys The seats are 19 pounds each with all hardware and rails ready to bolt in. It is hard to get them on my scale as I had to lean them on an angle and hold it upright, but that is a very close number. They fit perfect and are awesome seats. I am super happy with them. I'm a little unhappy I am putting the cage in now as I wanted the weight reduction when I try running it. But I know Moroso will boot me at 10.99, so if I run something like a 10.99 with a bad start or shift I'll be so damn aggravated just knowing there is more left And then I'll just have to do the cage anyways and I'll be out another week. LOL..

Um yes to the TTP comment LOL.. Some I will reveil at this time, some I won't. Like I said to some others via pm, I don't want to hype up the combination and then be disappointed. The cage is 80#'s and is chromoly. The door beams were pulled in the front but don't weigh anything but 2-3#'s. Not even worth pulling them out and I left the rears in. The cage is a 10 point and heavier then a 6 pt, but figured I much rather do this once. These down times are killing me. The extra HP is coming from new cams, bigger TB, and ported/ jet coated everything. Block and head are still stock. I'm still just on bolt ons. Power should be up a solid 30whp though.

Scott,
I am anxiously awaiting your arrival. I just wish this week would go by faster, but then my wife would be pissed. It's our anniversary/vacation for the year. I made a few other changes you'll like

Hah, Of course. As always good luck, will be fun to see how it works out. I'd like to see how clean the car still is with the cage installed. Will it ever see street duty again?

It see's street duty regularly This was just the other day when I wanted to check how it drove on the new Cosworths. It was only partial throttle as it wasn't tuned yet, but I love driving it around As for the cage, the cage will hardly be noticeable and is being routed through the rear speaker pockets so I can still use back seats. Not recommended to have pax, but it will keep the car quieter inside.
