**New Intercooler hose over stock? Suggestions plzz **

Is it necessary to relace your intercooler hoses? Fact, aftermarket hoses like SAMCO's are stronger and they prevent unnesscary hose expansion. So should i replace them asap? or after certain miles? Suggestions any1?

Under stock turbo boost levels, no you don't need to upgrade. The only threat is of the clamps popping off and separating the boost hoses from the couplers.

I have spiked to 30+ on the stock turbo and never have expanded the hose to the point of breaking them.

spike 30 and hold 26 at redline ...ehehehe

I haven't replaced my hoses yet...i rather go with steel piping custom or from ETS. I say no to replacing on stock levels and yes for elevated boost levels.

It never hurts to upgrade to silicon hoses.I had the Samco turbo hoses before and really didn't notice too much of a difference.Just get something like ETS like stated in post #3.

The biggest problem reported by most is blown off intercooler piping as a function of the relatively weak factory worm drive hose clamps. The flex hosing can expand under boost and is not particularly aesthetically pleasing to most. Samco hosing with T-bolt clamps would alleviate all but the aesthetics issue really and would be perfectly functional, but for the expense in that setup you may as well get shorter route hard intercooler piping. We have two options, one for a mini battery kit or trunk relocation and the other for the stock battery. If I can help answer any questions feel free to ask!

I would upgrade the piping just so the car would run more efficiently.

If it comes with it, replace it and make sure you keep everything you take off the OEM hose for future use.
