Thats ashame. Hail is one of my biggest fears - not just for the evo but all the cars i own.

insurance will not total it since im sure the car is worth what $24,000 or so. Damage will only run around $6,000 tops.

No Way, Look at the rear fenders, It may cost 6K just to get them fixed. There is no repairing the hood,front fenders,roof,trunk etc... all those will have to be replaced. I'd say that car is going to be totalled.
