I have already searched the forum and found the soultion to my problem. Water is coming in through the firewall on the drivers side and getting the connectors wet causing corrosion. The fix is to seal up the grommet on the harness that passes thru the firewall and then solder all the wires in the harness together.

My question is, can I just seal up the firewall and use electrical cleaner on the harness to clean the corrosion, rather than having to rewire everything?

Also would this problem cause my SRS light to go on as well?
