Can you guys convince me to get an Evo over a 2003 M5?

I really love both cars but am having a hard time choosing which car I want to buy, I figured I would come here and see what you guys had to say.

If it's the M5 that you want, then get the M5.

BMW is an acronym which stands for "Bring Money With", ie Bring money with you when you come to the dealership for any and all services unless you want to lose more money if you decide to sell the car in the future.

In all seriousness, It is a larger car, you won't handle near as well as an evo but the ride is more plush, girlies recognize the Beemer more than evo, it will be more adult of you, etc etc etc. You will just have to do some self-evaluation to make sure that what you do is the right move FOR U.

You're comparing apples to oranges, but I love M5's....they are so fun to drive.

And I think most people are going to say Evo since this is EvoM right

I think he said an M5 not M3 Yeah, they're both a nice and fast cars. If they're the same price range, I'll go for th M5 except that it's got a big GAS tank and you'll see the $$$ sign go up faster than the GALLON number at the pump. Good luck

These cars are not even in the same category. Do you want sporty luxury car or raw performance car? An m5 is a performance oriented car but it's not a sports car. I think you need to convince yourself because your going to get biased opions on an evo forum.

you shouldn't need convincing to get a evo, you should just know you want it.

Having driven that model M5 multiple times I would have to say it would come down to personal preference. If those are your two choices you would probably be more inclined to stick with an M5 because most people would not like how raw an evo is especially if they never experienced one.

It is up to your priorities, not our opinions.

They are both awesome cars, but like other people have said, they are in two different catagories. The M5 is a car that is occationally a toy. The Evo is a toy that is occationally a car.

Drive them both its the only true way you are going to be able to make a decision on which one you like more, as the dafarmer69 said its either between style and comfort or straight out rawness and awesomeness of the Evo.

I still remember back in the days when I still owned an MR2 turbo with a clutch going out and traveling to the cities. This one M5 roll by me and totally took off hoping that I'll try to catch up. I told myself it wasn't worth it because I can't push the car if I totally grind my clutch Either way, I know I would not catch up because that M5 can go fast in the straight line. Plus I had enough pink slip and can't afford another one Yep, I test drove one and it's quick too. 1/4 mile would be slower than the Evo but topspeed, the M5 probably take over. I said PROBABLY so no flames
