Dealership Problem... Please Help

Alright guys, I'm very very frustrated. Please offer suggestions to me as I have no idea what to do.

So about two weeks ago I found the evo I wanted. I went in, they looked at my trade, made me an offer for my trade and we talked about my payments and what not. I wanted to keep my payment low, so I had to more down, so I took an extra week and sold some stuff off my old car to get the money.

A week later, I have all the money I need, I walk in, give them the money and sign all the paperwork. Tada, I now own an evo... well kinda. They told me to meet them at a registry and we would register the car, and swap plates and I could take the car from there. So, I drive to the registry as they asked, and I get a call when no one shows up. "Hi, Mr. Davis? We ran into a small problem sir. We didn't get the title from the bank yet, so we cannot register the car". So I'm a bit angry, but no big deal. I can wait. They assure me it will be there in a day or two.

So, I call them daily asking if they have it, nothing A WEEK LATER! They wont put dealership plates on it because I live in Connecticut and the car is in Mass. So basically I give these people $2*,*** and a week later I have not a damn thing to show for it.

What the hell do I do?! I'm sick and tired of driving around a POS rental. I spent a **** load of money, I should have a car! Is there any legal recourse I can take? They already paid off my trade in, so I cant just reverse things... I don't know what to do...

PLEASE HELP

Whos paying for your rental? I bet things may move quicker if you ask for your money back....Hope they are not trying to cover up a mistake....

I hope you did not pay for the rental, the dealer should be paying for it.
Why could they not put a temp tag on it for you till you can do the tag transfer?
Have a lawyer call them for you.

I have seen out of state dealer tags around here in NJ from other states, so they could give you a dealer tag unless it is a Mass law I guess.

wondering why the dealership didn't have the title on them in the first place... I'm going through a similar situation right now except its private party so I can expect the other party's bank to release the title within the maximum 30 days allowed...

It may not be legal for them to put it on the lot (for sale with out disclosure of such) without the title ...just a thought.. check with your lawyer..

I don't know the law so check it with the family lawyer...

The bank should be able to fed-x the title to the dealer.

I'll bet you will be in the evo by the end of the week so be patient buy aggressive with them...

So call them now and ask them for a T-TAG.....

They're closed at the moment. I called and left a message insisting that I have it with 2-3 days or I wanted my money back, or I would pay them a visit with my lawyer on hand.

I'm just so sick of all this. It's been 2 weeks.
