Does anyone have the GFB stealth fx blow off valve on their Evo IX or Evo IX MR? If so...does it cause any driveability problems and is it noticeably loud? I was recommended to get this blow off valve from lancer shop but I wanted to get some feedback from actual Evo owners that have this blow off valve. Any help would be great.

 

two words...... GET IT..... i have it on my car and i have ZERO problems and it sounds awesome. My friend has the same BOV with ZERO problems. Plus its adjustable

I have it in my car. The only problem that I have noticed with it is at partial throttle when you start to make boost and you let off of the gas pedal, it will cause a little surging. I do like it though and it is adjustable.

 

Does it cause any problems when you adjust it to the loudest setting at full Atmospheric?

 

I have this for almost 2 years at full atmospheric and never had any problem. also get the trumpet. very aggresive high pitch screaming sound specially with a intake. can't go wrong with this bov.

 

I have this on my VIII, and it is awesome. top notch quality, great sound, and fully adjustable. Only reason I got a BOV was cuz the wife wanted one for the sound (which I hate) so I can actually turn it off when Im not around her for a while, but when I go home I can open it to keep her happy lol...Never had any problem at all with this BOV. A++++++

Very interesting. I was looking at a forge, but i wasnt to sure.. So this one is pretty loud?

It is fairly loud. I know they sell a different horn for it to make it louder.

 

i have a GFB hybrid on my car, it's pretty loud even on half plumb back, half atmo. they come with little trumpet attachments to make the noise louder if you're that way inclined

 

I have a forge DV works pretty good I'm at 23 psi. I'd recomend it.
