I have one and think it's a good kit. With the supplied bracket, it mounts up to the stock MAF without a problem and is held in place real well. I would recommend getting a tune for it though even though people claim it isn't needed with this filter. I noticed the car ran a lot smoother once that filter was tuned for. It is a dry filter so just run it through water and let it dry.

I've got it and it is a Great piece!!! It is a dry filter. Can you really wash it though? I've been just blowing it out with compressed air and it's working great at 20,000. I wouldn't mind wash it if it doesn't harm it though.

i'm considering this, too. i've been running a WORKS drop-in and like the minimal sound with my jdm ix bov but if this gives gains of any significance i might pick it up.

anyone care to chime in that went from drop-in -> this? thoughts?

If you're getting a tune, then yes, it is well worth it. Without a tune, I doubt you'd see any gains. It is definetely louder than the stock airbox (turbo sounds beastly....haha!) and a JDM MR DV sound like a BOV with an open element so if you like the BOV sound, you can get that without sacrificing performance.

Is it about the same as the Buschur? If so, I wish I knew about it before I bought mine from BR! haha!

This one looks like you need to remove the entire air box where the Buschur you don't. Anyone know for sure. I'm still using a drop in.

Buschur>AMS, I feel Buschur has more support behind their products as far as testing and results and their Customer Service is the best there is in my book!

yes you do any cone type it has to be removed takes to seconds there exactly 6 bolts, 4 nuts. 2 mount, 4 on/in the box. ebay sells adapter for hella cheap got mine for $5+7.99 S&H. but theres no hardware, just go to harware store and get them for a buck... then filter of choice.
