what in the hell is the point of the vent on the front of the car, its not even pointed at the air intake! haha, i just thought this was pretty funny.

Thats actually a pretty nice hood. I've seen that one a lot of times on Evos in my area. But yeah it would have made more sense to put the vent on the other side so the air intake could actually pick up some cold air.

lol, crazy. But it is a nice hood! Only if the air intake was on the left side as it should be.

these are very common Evo hoods, I have one on mine, but if I had known that there was a company that made the air duct on the drivers side, I would have bought that one. I dont know how the quality of it is, but I think it's by Deft racing, the VIS style...dont know if they still sell it, but they did last fall...(wish I had picked one of those up)

Evo 1-3 the turbo was rotated, same as DSMs, so the intake was on that side

"Light Weight 22 Lbs Design Provides Max Weight Reduction For Your Vehicle"
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^FALSE ADVERTISING! our stock hood weighs like 21 lbs, so how is a heavier hood "weight reduction" ??? my Voltex hood is at least lighter (i think its about 14 lbs)

The passenger side of my hood vent gets significantly hotter than the driver's side. I guess it is to aid in cooling the manifold, hotside, turbo outlet, and even some of the downpipe if it channels the air right.
