Walbro again... i Know, Quick question though...
Well i just finished installing my walbro fuel pump, this is for those of you who did the install yourself, the black metal round plate that goes on top of everything is not fitting correctly for some reason... i thing i bent it a little when trying to get it out... so the question is i put it on but only with 3 screws not the 6 screws.. because it just wouldnt align so its a little bit sideways, would this cause any problems in the future? I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone before??
yea i got the install kit, but its all already installed the car turns on fine and everything i mean there is absolutely nothing wrong with the install the problem is only with that freaking black metal plate...and yes iam sure that its on 100% corrrectly trust me i tried to get it right for ike 45 minutes and nothing it stays off by a little bit..
the black ring that gos around the pump top go's on a certain way. look at the pump top. there is 3 very small lips. now look at the black ring. see the 3 grooves in the side. well you have to line them up. it only fits one way. if its not fitting then its not right.

yeah if you got it under the sheet metal of the car and all you need to do is aline the 3 tabs its not that hard just keep turning the plate untill it lines up in actuality it is important that all of these nuts are on putting complete pressure on the seal to the tank air in the tank is no good.
