Angry Look what I did today

Had to happen sooner or later I guess. Backed into one of those power pole retaining cables today. was looking dead at it, but it was the same color as the pole behind it so i didn't see it. Oh well, I'll get it fixed this week, and move on. I've never backed into or scraped into anything in any car before today hehe! No "real" damage as it was terribly slow, no cracks or dents, just needs to be sanded and painted.

yeah, a slight bend in the tip. It can be rolled out too, but hey...I wanted an aftermarket exhaust anyway, right? hehe

Sorry to hear that man, but it doesn't look too serious, just get it painted and it'll be good as new.

Yeah that dented exhaust tip will cause maintenance problems downstream;-)

I am sure that the stock MMC replacement is probably very expensive........time to be frugal and buy the aftermarket cat-back that will ultimately save on maintenance costs, and also provide better gas mileage!

how about a full turbo back instead? i heard those give better gas mieage also. that way the downpipe matches the exhaust. you don't want a mis-matched exhuast do you?

Well, at least you were not one of those poor idiots who completely drive their car up on to one of those cables! I am sure you have seen the pictures on the internet of a car which has driven so far up a cable that the front or rear end is completely off of the ground!

$500-$650 bucks will reprep and paint that bumper at mosts shops around here. Don't sweat it too much man.

It's the hail that I am deathly afraid of! Hail damage is expensive to repair if it is too severe for paintless dent repair guys to handle.

And from what I understand about working with aluminum body panels, the body shops and insurance guys will likely recommend replacement instead of repair.....and that mean s more $$....

SC~
