What your fuel rail goes directly to an AN line?
Who made your fuel rail?

Its an HKS fuel rail. And yes the feed and return ports are both -6 an. I have the adapter froms slowboy racing for the stock rail but not the stock fpr.

I seem to be having issues with my current Aeromotive FPR. It seems like the psi reading from my gauge is much less than the regulator seems to be putting out or its letting out to much for some reason.

But the regulator is at its last thread on the adjustment screw. Im getting a fuel press. of 25 psi at idle now to get my car to idle in the 12's lol.

Now that im thinking about it. Should a FPR see a direct boost source or a vac source on the IM ?

According to the instructions by AMS the fuel lab regulator they use needs it.

Alright then heres the question. I looked over there directions and i use the same FPR as the one shown.

From what i was reading its telling me i should have the feed line hooked up to the bottom of the FPR with the return off the drivers side of the rail back to the car return.

But for some reason im not getting any fuel pressure with it hooked it up this way. Anyone have any ideas if this is the right way why im not getting any fuel pressure?

Thanks Jeremy

I have no idea why they call it the "feed" line the bottom should be the return. It should be feed from the pump -> fuel rail -> regulator -> return line.

I got those directions with the fpr which i bought directly from them. I had it hooked up that way originally and i had fuel pressure but it seem'd like the pump is over powering the injectors.

I always thought the fpr would be on the feed line like ams show's but aeromotive says differently. But they also say that different car's differ.

Nah putting the rail on the return line wouldn't make any sense

If anything you could talk to AMS about it I'm sure they would answer questions

Edit:
BTW how did you set the fuel pressure? In the manual your supposed to just key on the car and set the pressure while the car is off to 40psi. I'm not sure what that will equal when the FPR see's vacuum

Nah you start the car with the adjustment screw as loose as it will go with the vac line on. Then once the car is started remove and plug the vac line and set fuel pressure to 43 psi.

I called AMs today and told them my predicament and that there directions are wrong. Which they are arent they ? It did say feed line to the bottom, right ?

Anyway I have it hooked up right and if everything is like i told them they said it has to be a faulty FPR. Not sure how much this happens but i hope its the problem.

It would seem like the fpr is some how getting stuck closed. I dont know why this would be. Think I should maybe take the FPR apart and clean it or no ?
