I know we have to use a flatbed on our cars but what about kick starting would that damage anything?

 

If all four wheels are spinning and it's out of gear, then there's no harm done. Pop it in gear and start it, should be fine.

However if it's left in gear with the engine off and it's rolled on all 4 just for the sake of towing it, you're turning the engine which is not good.
