Is Rally Red the same exact paint used on Evo8, 9, and 10?

I used to own an evo8, rally red and the paint was flat horrible. Although, I love the red color on Evos. I was curious if the paint was exactly the same on the evo9 and evo10, single stage paint?

not sure if its single stage.

Is the evo X color rally red as well? If thats the case, it must be a different shade because the evo8-9 is a bright rally red which I think looks a lot better than the evo X

yes... the same ****ty paint is present on both the evo 8 and 9....... i have a RR IX, and my front end looks terrible after only 20k miles.... (not to mention the back door where it flares)...... the paint is crap crap crap!

and as for the X, the "rally red" is a completely different color.. its mettalic and darker... and since there is mettalic in it, im sure there is a clear coat

+1 on the Rally Red mitsubishi paint sucking. My family has had 2 red 3000GT's and the paint on both cars did not last very long.

I had a RR EVO 8 and the paint was fine the whole 3.5 years owned it. I did wax it on a regular basis and it was garage kept though. The paint is a single stage paint, but it taken care of it'll be fine.

The red on the X's is a totally different red with metallic in it. From what the dealer told me, all the metallic paints Mitsu uses has clear on it.

its not the same... I have had 03 Rally Red parts and compared the paint to the 06 Phoenix Red and they are not the same. Same thing as people say wicked white is the same as weightless white, it is not the same. And yes I did check with Mitsu, try to go get touch up paint, they say the paint code is the same, you put it on and it won't match.

The IX red is definitely a little different than the VIII red- much better. The X is not red, it is maroon hahaha.

yes its a little darker, I think it holds up to the weather a bit better, have seen a lot of Rally Reds fade, almost like there is no clear coat

I have 44,000 miles and my RR EVO9 has held up beautifully. And I live in Florida where the sun is pretty much always beaming.

So your saying the Evo9 red actually looks like it has a clear coat on it? My evo8 looks great in the day time, but at night time, it was always so dull.
