Anyone know an easy way to fill the rear diff?? I've been taking out my driver side wheel and sneaking a tube into the fill but it seems to take FOREVER for the fluid to go in since it's so thick and at a really bad angle....

Here are some techiques I use when the filling:

- tranny, taking out your air filter and sneaking a hose to the fill
- center diff, sneak a hose down near the firewall near the strut bar

I've filled all my trannies while it's still on ramps and throw the plug in. Never had a blown seal or any problems with the tranny. If nothing happens the extra oil might help.

Long tube connected to the fill bottle, or if you're using the steel mitsu cans long tube connected to a funnel.

I bought small pump from AutoZone works great! to refill, rear, front and tranny fluid. Also used 4 jack stands, so the car sits on same lvl. Safety is #1. So whatever you save on labor? buy tools for the car. Now im lucky I do all the work at my friends shop :->

I've bought one each from pepboys and autozone and they both work great. Even with a bad angle the pump definitely does its job.

The pump will leave it self clean if you push all the fluid out. If you want to be safe, brake cleaner can be used. Regarding where to purchase, harbor frieght carries them.

get two separate pumps, thats what i did. Someone recommended just flushing it with water but no way in hell are u flushing everything out. Especially the gear oil, its very thick and flushing it with water or anything doesnt really help. Besides a pump isn't expensive at all so I just got two separate ones.
