I would go with Mobil 1 EP or Amsoil. There is a difference between Mobil 1 EP and Mobil 1 so make sure to go with the formal. Both oils are test proven and compete with each other and are good choices.

I run RP in my Evo, Magnum SRT8, Ram 3500 diesel & dakota R/T. No issues with it. The motor in the evo runs a bit cooler with the RP.

I just changed my oil about 1k ago to RP...I've heard stories about how this oil shears out way too quickly under heat. There is a vendor a few miles away from me who sells Amsoil and hear nothing but good about this oil...I'll be switching very soon.

Its funny cause I was gonna get mobil 1 but I saw only one 4 quart jug so I got the (RP). 10w30 BTW

You get what you pay for.....

RP shears out of grade after the First Sequence in a 3 Sequence test...

If I didn't have so much drain oil available from switching people over to AMSOIL, for a $1.00 a qt I'd get some to hold the dust down on the back driveway...

I've been using RP full synthetic oil in my EVO for well over 45k!
Currently I'm @ 90,2xx miles on my 100% bone stock motor.
I track my car on a pretty regular basis doing autox, HPDE's and drag racing.
in all those miles and all that racing I've never had a single "oil" related issue.

last blackstone labs report I had at about 86k said the oil and my motor are both holding very well.

I also use their 75w90 oil in my trans on the EVO.
when I sent my trans to shep to get freshened up @ 79k he said everything still looked new, infact nothing even needed replacing.

I also use their fluids in my 700whp z06. I have their 75w90 in the rear end of my z06 and their MAX ATF in the trans. Never had a problem with those either.

humm... maybe Royal Purple oil isn't as bad as some would like you to think...

I sure hope autozone has some left tomorrow because I'm going there and buying them out!

In tests, Synthetic oil has shown to improve Fuel Mileage between 2-5%. Many users of AMSOIL have reported even greater increases.

You will usually see that the people who say they don't like AMSOIL, are the one's that Never tried it but yet have an opinion about it. As they probably will about most things..
