Fire Jacket/Suit Needed
Hey, I was wondering what I need as far as a fire suit is concerned. I am getting a build at Buschur that will run 10s all day long, and maybe 9s on race gas. Its already not NHRA legal as I am not putting in a cage! But I would like to know if I will need a fire jacket, pants or any of them? If so, will a single layer be ok or will I need a Multi-layer? I have searched on here and found nothing and I have no clue what the NHRA rulebook is talking about on this stuff! I already have a helmet so Im just trying to decide if I need a suit.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hard to say, if a track will let you run 10's without a cage/bar. . . whatever, they may just let you run in shorts as well. I think you're really going to be finding out what exactly you can do from track to track.

Ok, thanks. Yea the 2 tracks I will be going to dont really have teck inspections, so its mainly for my own safety and not their requirements. The only strict NHRA track I will be going to will be Norwalk, but that will only be on track rentals and the Buschur events. Maybe Ill just go with a light fire suit and call it good! Thanks
