Best/Most Accurate Gauge

Please vote for your favorite, and if you are compelled, leave an explination. We do not however need 1000 responses that all read "Defi FTW" or "Autometer is the best". If you want to give input, say something constructive, like: "Autometer Cobalts are very easy to read in all light conditions and have a great accuracy for the price"

P.S. I am asking for the best brands line of gauges that us Evo owners typically use such as boost, EGT, fuel pressure, oil pressure, etc.

I would say DEFI all the way. Although they are expensive, they are great, the are clear and easy to read and with the link you can record I believe its up to 3 minutes and play it back. I have zero complaints about my DEFIs and owuld recommend them to anyone!

My stewart warner -30+40 agreed with my jdm 3bar map.. The autometer that was replaced by the sw was off by 3-4psi.

My Aem digital boost gauge, non controller type, is off a good 2-3psi.

my Defi blue racer gauge is 1 or 2 psi off when I had it logged during my tune. Other than that, it's pretty much dead on. Defi has a pressure sensor with a stepper motor design instead of diaphram actuation.

I have heard from many people that stewart warner gauges are very good, can anyone else confirm?

I'm going to say Defi. Every one I have seen has been perfectly zeroed and reads right on the money. I have an Autometer boost gauge that is about 0.5 PSI too low reading. I'll replace it with a Defi Red Racer 52MM when I can afford it.

Yes they are great for the money, but I want to go a different route in my car. You get what you pay for, and many times people have had the SW gauge incorrectly zeroed. They'll send it back and receive a new one it'll work perfect, but poor quality control as someone else mentioned. I think they're one of the best bang for your buck brands though.

Gauge to measure what?

This poll is too vague with no benefit to the community.

Well I am not going to buy different brand gauges for each different purpose. So, I am asking about the best gauge line overall for our most common needs (ie: boost, EGT, oil press, fuel pressure)

I have always had the best luck with DEFI. The autometers that i have used seem to be a few PSI off(boost gauge), same thing with the older electronic Greddy gauges. The temp gauges seemed ok, but the pressure, especially boost, would be off.
Defi seems to be very consistent and corresponds with AEM Map sensor for EMSs.

Different brands are better for different gauges.

People are just gonna choose what they use. How would they know which one is the most accurate??? Especially if it the kind you can't log and compare to a benchmark, like a MAP sensor...
