I got a ticket with a V1. I was clocked/ticketed by a cop with a laser gun. The V1 is the best one out there but it is not perfect. It is the best for radar but no detector will help you with Laser. Radar is sound waves that will travel for miles so you have ample time to slow down unless he's hiding 90 degrees from you. A laser is a light beam that travels in a straight line. Once you are hit with a laser it is too late.
I know this is the post about the V1, but for another 400$ you could invest in a laser jammer which are legal in a lot of states except for a couple.
