is this normal? (ecu Wiring)

I just got a cable to tune... when the cable wasn't reading from my ecu ... i was double checking all the wires... for my ecu.. the cable logs but does not read my rom upload or anything.... so when i pulled the wiring out i saw this... and was wondering if that would have an issue...

sorry for the picture quality

its a white and green wire.... the white wire is really small maybe the size or a 16 gauge wire... like all the others....

and the green wire is pretty big.... not sure what size maybe about two or three sizes bigger

In the pictures I can't really see much, sorry their just not clear enough..

HOWEVER, I bought my car new, from the dealer, in 2003, and I did notice my car had 2 splices that were "taped" with automotive electrical tape.

How much of the history do you know about the car? I'll take a look at my car tomorrow night and see which of mine appear to have been spliced.

The gray tape itself does look like what I recall.. But the other part doesn't.. But your pictures are too blurry for me to tell if that extra wire is OE.

This very interesting. The bigger wires like that i believe if they are shielded are the crank and cam trigger. I just pulled out my whole wiring harness so i will go look and let you know.
