Well I just installed an evo 9 diverter valve for my '05 evo 8 to replace the plastic one. I am pretty sure I put it on exactly the way the old one was. I tightened both hoses down and reconnected the one vacuum line coming out of the top of it.

I took the car out for a drive and wanted to test it out real quick. I only boosted up to like 5 psi just to see how it sounded and I heard what sounded like compressor surge. The sound was completely different than the one my old plastic diverter valve made. Are there any adjustments I may not have made?

Can anyone please attach a few pics of theirs?

I think my plastic dv was leaking. By redline the boost would end up right around 20 psi. Now it sticks to 22.5-23 psi which is where I have it set.
