What is invoice on EVO?
My dealer is begging me to buy an EVO, the have one of each color on the lot and have had then sitting for a while now. I dont think they have sold an EVO for a couple of months now. They said come down for a test drive no problem. I said, I might consider one at invoice. They said no problem, they just want to sell one this month profit or no profit. Are there any other rebates the dealer is getting on the EVO that is not listed here? According to KBB, dealer markup from invoice is $2095.53

Maybe depending on how many levels of seperation your bill paying employment/industry has from industries that are finally out of options and left to file for bankruptcy or reorganization, meaning bad things affect everyone in some degreee or another. It's just a matter of how close to the hand grenade you are when it goes off. Even if it doesn't kill you or hurt you, it has an affect on you.
And if you're not sailing on your 200 foot yacht with your staff soaking up the sun between romps in tropical paradise isles, you're susceptible to all the bad ripples to some extent. That tax bracket is so buffered from the economy, finances really don't exist. They're pile is stuck in infinite growth mode.

I do not have any more info on the radio ad. DO NOT PAY RETAIL. It hasn’t been mentioned a alot on this forum but dealers are sitting on EVO's and are looking to unload them bad. You are in the driver’s seat. If something doesn’t seem right walk out the door. I also hear that paper ads are running on the EVO in the Portland, OR area. Pick up the paper and check it out. At least that is a starting point. LOW ball the heck out of them. There will be more 2004's coming soon. The dealers pay floor plan (interest) every month the car sits on the lot. This can range up around $400 - $900 month for a car like the EVO. Walk in with your financing in order and offer $27000 or less, they will probably take it if your are serious and polite. Remember, you are helping them out. Things are coming right back to the way they were in the early 90's. Lots of cool expensive sports cars for the consumer to choose from.

Tell the dealer you are seriously considering one of the above listed cars and say the dealer offered you some absurdly low price. Make it around invoice. Tell the Mitsubishi dealer you probably want to go with the other car but just thought you would swing buy to see what they might do. Be prepared to name your price. $26,700 or something...do not let them start talking payments. You are in the driver’s seat

You may already know this but do not tell the dealer you are from out of town. The dealer will be easier to negociate with. You are probably better off flying down to the Portland area and making the deal in person. Lots of Evo's down here to choose from.

I agree.. nows a great time to buy.. a few weeks ago, people were still saying over MSRP for various colors, and 1K more for the rarer ones.
I got mine 300 under Invoice two days ago. The car was on the lot for 54 days. I also called around to see if other dealers would match the offer, 1 said they would, and a few others said they could get close. Im in Los Angeles bye the way.
