Question Mitsu boost gauge

I have a question. My dealer installed boost gauge is in the metric format, did I get the wrong one or are all the dealer istalled ones that way? If they are what should it read under max-boost? And finally are there any after market ones that read in PSI that fit in the factory cluster hole.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I have found (at least with my EVO) that the smooth but fast application of gas along with an abrubt but not quite a full clutch drop gives me good performance without cooking my clucth. There was another thread that mentioned this method and it seems to work for me. Full drops from 3500-6000 resulted in...well you all know.

P.S.S I am almost 40 and love my EVO, makes my wifes 2002 330ci seem almost slow.

stock mitsu boost is reading in bars, I believe it goes upto 1.5 bar. Anyways , 1 bar ~ 14.5psi, evo should read 1.2-1.3 bar peak and 1.1 bar at red line stock. The Gauge is pretty small too, 46mm I believe.

they do, its one of the added accessories you can get from the dealer. I've seen some pics of them on these forums and they look REAL cheap .

after looking at the 2 spaces after putting in my HU....it seems to be a common sense thing as far as the effort it would take to switch the two out.

For $350 plus installation, I can get better aftermarket 60mm gauge. Any good recommendation?

its real easy...you don't have to buy anything...i recommend using a kitchen knife when trying to pop out the molding around the sports meter kit...just slide it in the crack carefully and and pull strait towards the back

and when you are taking off the plastic around the climate control...after you pull off the nobs...just reach your fingers through those openings and pop the bottom two snaps...the rest comes off easily
