How do you convert you VIII tail lights to look like IX tail lights

How do you convert you VIII tail lights to look like IX tail lights
I have searched and only found how to make these tails look like the jdm amber ones and the VII red tail lights but not IX's.
I love the look of the darker tail light housing but I do not want to spend the money on buying a new set.
Anyone point me in the right direction? Yes I have heard of evodave, but being that this car is my DD I don't want to send the lights off if I have the choice.
