The mod bug got me.

My storys a little different though. I currently am shopping for a evo ix, trying to find something as close to stock with low miles for a good price. With that being said, I just orderd a v1 and some gagues. I have already ordered a few other things including, a 3mm bra, a shorty tenna and a SE lip.

Now the bad part. I already got my mind on a green and a 2.3 stroker kit.

You guys were not joking with this mod bug, where does it stop?!?!?!

dont feel bad i ordered exhaust ,down pipe, test pipe, fmic ,intercooler piping
and then my wife ask me when am i going to buy an evo .. i started searching and none of the dealers near me had any ... yeah about a month after searching i found one ... brand new ..GG

 

I managed to keep mine stock for almost 20,000 miles then I started and it was game on! Now I just think about what I'm going to do next!

If there was only an immunization to protect against the mod bug. LOL. I have a full raging case of the mod bug and it has no end in sight.

My advice, try and find a car that already has these modifications and is modified correctly. Just test drive, make sure it shifts smooth and do a compression test. Comp testers are cheap and are worth every penny.

 

I would put the time and energy you are wasting mod shopping into locating a car.

 

I had this discussion with Tamer (4wstuning.com) a few days ago. When I first talked to him on AIM, it was like this: "Hi, I'm Ales and I just want a few basic bolt-ons and a tune". We're at "DP,testpipe,intake,apexi avc-r,walbro" and talking about cams and meth atm.

It doesn't stop. Your car will be a rocket sooner or later, like it or not.

My word of advice.... don't go cheap with anything! spend top dollar so you dont have to worry about anything failing and dont have to go through the trouble of doing it over.
