Spark plugs?

I am just posting this to see what everyone's opinion on spark plugs are? I have heard good things about the NGK's, but I am trying to figure out which ones would be the best for my car. I have quite a few mods done to my 2005 Evo 8, and I am getting cylinder 3 misfire detected when I connect up to the OBDII and test my service engine soon light. Here is a list of mods that I have done.

3" Buschur racing turbo back exhaust, Buschur racing Intake with Mass air pipe, Buschur racing upper and lower pipes, Buschur racing deluxe intercooler, Buschur racing mini battery, Megan racing exhaust manifold, Megan racing o2 housing, Walboro 255 fuel pump, hallman boost controller, Evo green turbo upgrade, tuned by English Racing.... I am still running stock plugs and just started having this problem. I have been told to go a step colder, but I am unsure with what plug. I have been looking at the BPR8ES by NGK. What does everyone think? Thanks for any help.

yup. go with the one step colder ngk's. i got mine from lancer shop and ordered 8. since they don't have a box of 8 they wind up sending you a box of 10 for the price of 8!! my advice is do that and replace them around every 10k

alright thanks for the assistance. I think I will go with the cheaper plugs and change them out more often. It makes sense if there isn't a real advantage besides the life expectancy of the plug. I would rather change them out to get fresh plugs in.

id say if u really are concerned with ur spark you could get a COP setup and widen the gap on your plugs. however if ur motor has stock internals than chances are you aren't pushing enough to NEED a special plug (i am refering to evo 8's, i dunno about 9's) a nice fresh set of NGK's will do just fine.

I like copper plugs. There are arguments for and against copper. They don't last as long, but spark is conducted better.

Do not use platinum.

I personally use copper. BR7(or 8)ES. Protruding or non-protruding tip is a question to ask your tuner. Lucas should tell you what he wants you to use, best thing to do is call and ask him.

NGK BPR8ES work great. I have them in my stock turbo car, runs/idles just fine. The STM car that goes 10.1 @ 137 with the stock block uses the same plugs. I left mine gapped at .030".
