I know that the guy who bought my car new got one of the first IX's around and the build date of August 30, 2005 confirms that.

What I am trying to discern is just how early of a IX it is and what # RS it is.

I called Mitsu and they were able to confirm some info but I'm curious

Does any other IX owner have a VIN with the last six digits less then ~013000?

This is the factory sequence code but they build A LOT of different cars at that factory.

Does anyone know how I might obtain what # RS it is?
I was thinking of trying to call the dealer tommorrow, see if they know a way to find out just looknig for ideas on what specifically I should ask them to do if they are willing.

That's who I called. Basically thery could verify that info but not much else.
If mitsu jsut had a factory for evos, like gm has vettes it would be easy.

 

I looked (but couldn't find) for something else that I remembered reading. Someone requested the info and got a case number and a call back with the info once they (Mitsu) did a little research, because a guy on here actually posted his number. Did they say anything like that to you when you called?

 

Yes, mine is 011XXX. Also a IX RS built in August.

 

Yeah I saw that post and Pm'd him. He had to ask via the dealer. Something I am going to try if I can find out what to ask.

356 were IX's

The 04 I think was the most uncommon. So maybe 300 or so.

 

I have an 2005 VIII RS built in Dec-2004.

So I guess your range is between Jan and July in 2005

Yes 358 total IX RS's imported to the US. Half white, half red. I am 1 of 179 RR IX RS' in the nation
