I had something similar happen last year, I had someone put a new BOV on the car and it wasn't installed correctly. Essentially, I had a leak in the intake system somewhere. Not sure if this will help you out, but it may be worth taking a look.

Once again, thanks for the advice!
You're welcome. Another possibility is that your A/C compressor is going out, and is harder to turn... That would be a better outcome, to be sure

I had the exact same issue which I posted about a few days ago but its hard to search since AC is less than three letters. I removed my ecu fuse and replugged it and thats when it started. It would do the same thing if you were to unplug and replug the battery terminals. I would have to shift very fast or my RPMs would go to zero and idle would be very rough and want to stall. It took 3-4 days for the ECU to learn again and now the idle is rock solid and have no issues when I shift gears.

Mirror image of my issue. I'm going to try it. It couldn't hurt anything.
Thanks bud.

Thanks to everyone who is trying to help me - means alot. The BOV is stock and hasn't been touched, the tune is wonderful imo, and the A/C works perfect. Guess I've got some digging around to do.

Thanks guys!

If its like my issue it will fix itself after a few days. Did you recently reset the battery by the way?

Yes I did. Unfortunately, it didn't help anything.

That only starts the process. Wait a few days and see if it fixes itself. Let us know too.

I'm thinking your A/C compressor is binding up. Have you noticed a decrease in mpg with the A/C on? I'm thinking the bearings on the compressor are going up and causing too much load for your engine to sustain while just idleing.

This is exactly what I'm thinking also.

The decrease in MPG on the highway isnt drastic. With 5-10 WOT pulls, 80mph speeds, and A/C on I still manage to get 24mpg on the highway. So no, I don't think my mpg are affected. However, it just seems that its loading the engine hardcore. Definately with the A/C on (BADLY) and even with it off it seems a bit loaded down.

Hmmm

Thanks for your input

I cant remember, but isnt there a A/C idle step setting in ECU flash. I'm starting to think it isnt the compressor itself based on the fact that your mpg isnt affected.

100% correct happens everytime the battery is disconected these cars really need to relearn idle. Both with the AC on and the AC off 3-4 days and it'll likely correct itself

bringing this back from the dead but I wanted anyone who is interested in- or is currently having- this problem to know that I followed the advice of rcheung and I am happy to say that for the first time in 2 years i drove around the city, stopped at stop signs and red lights with the a/c on and had zero issues with stalling. Its incredible. I was so used to turning off the a/c everytime I exited the freeway that its hard to not reach for it everytime I hit the off ramp. I left my house one morning and turned the a/c on immediately, I did stall on a few stops at the beginning but it eventually stopped happening. Thank you rcheung for your valuable advice, my 110* plus days are no longer unbearable
