Need Input from those who have had clutch waranteed

I am going in to Fountain Mitsu in Orlando to have my clutch looked at for a possible warranty claim. I want to hear what those who have Successfully had their clutches warrantied said and had said to them by the dealership. Also, I want to know if getting really upset will help or hurt me. Sometimes if you make a big fuss they will cave on this kind of stuff. Let me hear!

Hey clappton, only a small part of the clutch is actually "not" covered by the warranty and then only if it's under 12k miles will it be. (any part that wears, like clutch plates etc.. )

I recently had warranty work done and had a seal replaced as it was leaking. Since this was a manufacture defect from the factory they replaced it no questions asked. The best and easiest way to know if something is covered is if it's your fault or the cars. =)

Make sure you FULLY read your warranty and know what's covered before you go in and if it's not covered by the warranty no amount of yelling will help. Just be calm and professional with them and you'll get that back.

I know that wear items are covered upto 12K, but Mitsu has kind of just blanketing all clutches claims with denials. However, in order to get to the bottom of this, my clutch is slipping, I have to authorize them to tear down the clutch assembly and look at the parts. If they decide not to warranty the part I'm stuck with the labor costs! I want to know what EVO owners have said or done that led to a clutch disc warranty.

Well, if there are heat spots or obvious abuse to your clutch, then just replace it. That kind of wear is obvious enough once removed.

What constitues obvious abuse? Can the clutch slipping cause heat spots that may look like abuse?
