I have been utterly spoiled by my Evo IX's performance. I test drove an E92 M3 the other day and it just felt .... blah, especially for 65K. DAM YOU EVO!!!!!!

i learned to watch gas prices closely, and i learned that the saying "when in doubt, power out" is very very true. that was something it took me a while to get used to coming from FF cars.

I learned that i really don't drive fast at all since everyone constantly notices i drive the speed limit...

learned that guys in RA's and Regular Lancer's are the biggest haters when they see you roll by..

a few too many evo owners are too cool for school and NEVER say or acknowledge you... not all the time, but it seems to happen to me more than it should. I almost always get love from subie drivers.

Learned that you can save yourself a loooot of money doing things yourself on the car Thank god I'm mechanically inclined.

I can't explain enough in detail of how much knowledge and information I have picked up since I bought my Evo. One thing is for sure though....I wouldn't be as smart as I am today if there was no such thing as Evolutionm.net

i agree with you on those two things. maintenance and repair work on these cars isn't hard at all, it can just be time consuming, but shops and dealerships charge ridiculous amounts of money for EVERYTHING. like when i changed my spark plugs...they wanted $25 per plug, and labor was around $200....so about $300 to change spark plugs. i ordered them from sparkplugs.com or something, and changed them myself in like 10 minutes. as for the regular lancer, and RA owners...i actually find that i hate them more than they hate me haha i guess it's because i can't understand why anybody would willingly buy either of those cars over a civic or RSX, accord or even an older integra, or prelude. any of those would be better choices

I've learned launching is expensive and take it to the track or the strip if you want to play. In the long run it's not only more fun, but cheaper and safer.
