i recently posted that i wasnt going to the get the EVo because of my history of mitsu. Which was completely retarded. I was comparing apples to oranges. I think the underlying reason why i was not goin to purchase was THese morons on the board. i am a moron for even questioning my purchase. I got caught up in the transmission issue> and this goes to all people lookin to buy one. Well i went to the 350z well what do u know a million post about bad transmission. I knew half the people on this board cant drive or were dumping there clutch, or modding the car with the stock clutch still in the car. But i still let it question my hunt for the car. NOw I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE THANKS FOR THE POSITIVE FEEDBACK IN THAT org. POST for opening my eyes.

 

Well, good luck.. And I didn't mean to call you a dumbass in the last post.. I meant it towards all the other people who complain about the tranny when they constantly drop that clutch in an AWD car!! Remember?!

(350Z w/ 18in Volks, blue lug nuts, blue metallic stickers, boltons)- "yea its a cool car, what times are you running?"
Me-"My first run I ran 14, I dropped the clutch and started from 1k rpms, theres a learning curve on this awd system!"
(350Z)- "Yea, well im on my second tranny in 4 months"

BTW: Go sit in a STI, then sit in the Evo...I think that will answer all your questions. BTW Automotosports is running EVO AWD system on street tires- 9's! Yes there are problems with the EVO...but go on the corvette, 350z, rx7, supra, wrx forum and read the complaints there.

Hey batty. I'm glad you are getting past your preconception. The Evo is just like any other new car. If you beat it the car will break. If you granny shift, something might still go wrong because of an unanticipated failure. You take your chances, avoid the cars with horrid reliability issues(ie, don't buy old British cars and expect to daily drive them!). Buy the cars that suit your tastes and the ones that meet your need for speed.
