help with 30k maintenance question(diaqueen)

well it's time for me to do the 30k service but I can't find Diaqueen GL-3 SAE 75W-80. What's the difference between (GL-4) diaqueen super multi gear oil and Diaqueen GL-3 SAE 75W-80. I have an evo ix gsr. also where could I buy diaqueen for my 5 speed, I tried lancer shop but they only sell diaqueen for 6-speed evo's. *sighs*

Thanks in advance

You can use the 6 speed fluid in the 5. Some people have claimed improved shifting and smoothness. It's 100% compatible.

Here's the diaqueen part #3775610 so you can have mitsu order it for you, if they don't have it in stock. 5 and 6 speed both take the same diaqueen. There's no difference. GL

I ordered mine at Mitsubishiparts.net they have fair prices for the transmission fluid. At some dealerships, they have the fluids in large drums and they will fill smaller containers for you and prorate the price, in case you don't want to buy the larger containers.

thats odd I bought my diaqueen for my 5speed from lancershop.com. They should have it just send them an email and ask them to send you the right one. The one that I received for them was 75w-80(GL-3)

are the snycros from the 5 speed made of the same material as the 6-speed. I'm just wondering because a gear lubricant rated 4 or higher can sometimes corrode the synchros since they are made of brass. why did mitsubishi give the 5speed a differenr GL rating. It's driving me crazy and I'm not sure which one to buy.
