2004 Evo VIII...A/C went out yesterday just started blowing warm...got home...thought I blew a hose but went and got some dye...before adding the dye there were some moist places...but not the usual places for a leak more spray then drip if you will. Went and added some Dye...and it looks like the A/C compressor itself is whats gone...from underneath the car the only place the dye has run is down the backside of the compressor between the block and the compressor itself then onto the compressor..this seems strange, no hose leaks, no o-ring leaks...anyone else had the same issue...I have never seen a compressor dump oil...nothing is on the top of it and I find it unusual that its leaking where nothing is connected and I am hoping the compressor itself isn't cracked...so A/C experts, anyone seen this before? Thx.

 

well i had a similar situation but for some reason what happened to me was that my fan hit the compressor which ended up giving me a leak...how dat happens....i dont know lol...depending on your mileage you should still be covered....i wass...hope it helps
