stock spoiler

stock spoiler

the top carbon fiber section of my spoiler has pealed. almost all the clear or resin, not sure, is almost all off. it isnt doing this on the c/f pieces on the sides of the spoiler. is this normal? is this form the person who owned it before me not taking care of it? can it be fixed or do i need to buy a new o.e spoiler

Yea, it happens to all of them eventually. Just need to be sanded and re-clear coated.

its part wear from not being taken care of
and part sun normal wear
mitsu might cover it depending on it
they are covering mine for me
def dont wanna buy a new one from oem
the guy in parts said it costs $2200

Oh god, please don't spray bomb your spoiler. Take it to a shop and get it recleared. The prep work in that DIY is 'ok' at best. You should sand it with 600 and then reclear it. No need to 'smooth' it out with 2000. Paint and clear needs mechanical adhesion and when you spray anything that's been sanded with over 600 it looses that 'bite'.

If you did the prep work a shop should do this for less than $100 if not under $50.

paint is the only thing i wont mess with myself. ill do anything else as long as i know i have the tools and the right manuals.
