Socal Purchase
Socal Purchase
would you ever purchase a vehicle from the socal mitsu dealer if you live on the east coast? (without visiting the dealer) They have a ridiculous amount of evo 9s. it seems hard to find a white mr. but they have them. just wondering what you guys thought about this.
Well you should definitely go see it before you even buy any car.
Fly over there and check it out.
It's worth the money, rather spending 30k for the car with shipping and finding out it's not what you thought it to be.
and if that doesn't work, there are plenty of evos in Cali anyways, so you could go check them out.

I would never buy a car without seeing it in person and taking a test drive. A nice wash and wax can make the biggest ****box look like a flawless car in pics.
And although SCM has a great reputation and I haven't dealt with them personally, I have yet to find a single dealer that doesn't cut corners to save costs when turning over used cars. You seriously need to test the car out in person regardless of where or who you buy it from.
And if you flew into the OC airport I'd be up for taking you over there to check out Evos. If that didn't work we can grab an Autotrader and start seeing what else is around privately.

You'd first need to make sure your state will register it without you having to pile up the mileage on it first. Here, we can't reg a car from out of state until it has 7500miles. Considering we have the toughest smog regulations, you should be ok, but you should check.
Secondly, you would need to make sure that the price still warranted the purchase AFTER shipping. If you're still making out over what you can purchase one locally for, then it'd be worth it.

If you're talking about South Coast Mitsubishi in Costa Mesa, California, they're pretty good. Both of my Evos were purchased through them. Maybe have somebody in the area personally check out the vehicle for you to tell you about how it is beyond the pictures. There's a truck load of Evo owners here in this area.
