My Cobra XRS Radar Saves The Day

I was coming home from a long distance work trip back to my sister's wedding. I was doing a little faster than I normally do. The radar came off from the velcro and so I took it off. After seeing two people got pulled over, I decide to put it back. 10 miles left to home, my radar alarm me of Laser alert, I slowed to about 80 or so on a 65. I looked up and saw a vehicle stopped and then as I get closer, he started to move and came to the exit heading my direction. I immediately slow down to 70 while the guy behind me drives a VW Golf past me by. I thought the trooper was going after me but he kept on ahead and signal the Golf to pull over. That was a close call because I was in a hurry home for the wedding. This radar saves me a few times. It pays itself already!

I have a Passport X50 and that thing has saved my a$$ plenty of times. I hate driving without it. Definately has payed for itself already. I've yet to get busted with that thing mounted in the windshield.

Wow, that's sad, show some respect for a customer's car. First of all, I don't think pulling the ebrake at 50mph is going to slow you down any faster than just hitting the brakes, and maintaining your safety. Secondly, you shouldn't be beating on a someone else's car that is paying you to do work on. Hope that guy sees this thread for future reference.

Your just beggin' for an a$$ kickin'! I hope the guy that owns the car sees this and comes after you. I sure as hell would. You have no right to be doing something like that. Your like the Toyota mechanics that go ga-ga when they see a Supra and HAVE to take it for a mechanical test drive.

I believe he was trying to tell us how well the V1 works although what he did to his customer's car is unethical. He got his reasons to do what he do so let us just forget about what he said.

It might have been better to be going the speed limit in a customer’s car.

As for the rest of what you said I simply have to ask…… why you would drive like this in a car that was not yours? I do not mean that in the monetary way of you not having to fix your car but more of a respect way for other people’s belongings. Abusing your own stuff is great so long as you do not mind.

Unfortunately I do not have the equipment or time to do major work on my car. Luckily I do the rest of the stuff though to keep the chances of this sort of thing taking place to a minimum.

It is completely unfair that i can't use Radar detectors.. well i could, but you get a hefty fine if you get caught using one.

Yeah, but isn't it also a hefty fine for getting caught speeding? Choose your poison...
