Who has a RS for a DD?
if you have to ask then you should not buy an RS... modern vehicles without power windows or locks are just funny to me... if you're drag/track racing often i can see the weight savings signifigance but as DD... pretty dumb.
i DD mine....... but i was smart.... i installed factory power windows from a IX "gsr"... i also installed the center armrest... after you get it, youll wonder how you went without it! lol.... i also have the power mirrors, just need to throw them on
my only gripe.. no power door locks

Mine is from Hong Kong Mitsubishi and they came with power windows, power locks, a/c, radio, brembo brakes, enkei wheels, the wing and keyless entry/security. But then it came with the base lancer seats.... It sucks as it is the only choice here, I wish they had the IX MR (9.5) RS with the smaller and higher flowing 155G turbo and the steel rims, kinda ridiculous that they had IX carry over to 2007 instead of getting the new IX MR (9.5).
A/C and radio I never use them but the windows I need to open and close a lot since it gets quite hot inside the car. The power window really makes this convenient and I don't plan on removing them to save like 5lbs total and pay for parts required for manual operation. I don't know how useful is the wing since I don't have any experience with wingless evo, I am thinking the weight of the wing makes more downforce than the design itself. I prefer not to have power locks and the security system, half of the time I set off the alarm for pressing wrong button and it is only convenient if you need to use backseats which is rare for me.
Since I already switched the front to 6 pot AP and I plan on changing the rims, it would've been less of a waste if I got the 15" steelies with the crap brake system.
But for you guys in the states where you may have 6+ hour trips occasionally, I am sure A/C and radio will be welcomed if it is your only car.

If you are a track junkie and want to be fast all the time, ABS will be your best friend. If you have the ability to stomp on the brake pedal ten times in a second, then you may not need it :-b. But having no ABS makes driving fun, it is kinda like using manual tranny over mechanical sequential gearbox, or having no power steering. If you are a true enthusiast, you shouldn't be locking your brakes even in emergency situations ;-) Only reason the RS don't come with ABS is that a lot of the races evo qualify for restricts ABS usage.
Only drawback I can tell from daily driving my RS is the noise. Must have a good stereo to hear it on the highway.
No ABS is fine, the brakes have enough modulation capablility you can threshold brake easily in most conditions. Don't listen to any of those "it's not safe! you can't brake as well as the computer!" people.

3 years here, 75k, 3 winters, no problem i can open any window or close from my drivers seat while driving
lol I dont really care. I mean how many times do you roll down and up windows? in cold states, most of the time they are closed when you go thru winter time. I would prefer to have power locks than roll up windows
at least You dont have to worry about window motor taking a crap
If price is right, get it.

I would have bought an RS but my wife veto'd. I put my windows down a lot, but I'd probably just resort to more A/C in an RS. Easy enough to add an aftermarket stereo if that's a necessity for you.
I think the only thing that would be "annoying" would be manual locks, but I don't carry the remote for my Sentra or my wife's Camry and that's tolerable so I doubt it would bother me enough to add them later.

If you want the amenities, then find an SE. You get the amenities with the aluminum roof, light wheels and the 5 spd.
I dd mine right now and like having the amenities. If I ever dedicate it to the track, then I can pull the stuff I don't want in it out. IMO, that's easier than paying to have those things put in.
