j/p There's also the stuff that washes off with the high power sprayer like in The Jackal (he paints his van white with the stuff) Though I think it is only good as a temporary color, not as permanent as wrapping.

And in cannonball run when the 2 hot girls in the countach rinse it off,

THROWBACK!!!!

Old news, this thing has been around for years, it's popular in the race car circles as well as the box truck business(some boxes get wrapped instead of painted).
This evo is wrapped:

There is a company right across the street form where I work in LI NY that does it and is good at it, he quoted me $2500 for a full wrap on my VIII so I guess it's not bad compared to a good custom paint job. This is his info www.stwgraphics.com

Yup, NASCAR has been doing it forever along with other series. Much cheaper and easier than repainting and you know exactly what the results will look like before it is done.

did that with the drag car last year

it's very hard to get right, you have to have exact temps to make the glue cure around corners, bumps etc rapidly or it will bubble

job will run you over $2,500

I think it probably works the same way as clear bra... so it'll probably a few thousands dollars. I wouldn't be surprise if it would cost around the same as a paint job, just not permanent but just as labor intensive. I remember when clear first came out, some rich dude paid like 5k to get his 7series completely clear bra-ed.

Not permanent and it's basically clearbra protection for your car... While also making it look different... maybe even better.

Okay if you can find we a super nice like better than factory quailty paint job for my Evo for less than $2500 let me know. I haven't seen a nice complete paint job for less than 5 or 6k for my Evo. I mean a GOOD paint JOB. + getting your car painted at a shop will take weeks. the wrap will take a day or 2 max
I am for the Wrap and I am actually thinking about doing it to now.
