need help

I tried to install a new fuel pump. When I put the walbro in the car wouldnt start, would try to idle, maybe idle for a few sec in a very rough way and die. The same thing happens when I tried replacing it back to the stock fuel pump. I checked all wires, fuses and checked the installation several of times, (Ive been trying to figure out whats going on for the last 4 hours). Any help would be nice.

I remember reading from other people that had this same problem that they had to mess with the rubber grommet. It's been a while since I installed mine. I would suggest starting from step 1 and retrying it again. Are you using the how-to that is posted on this site?

it does sound like it's got an internal leak from the seal where you shove it up into the tube which would result in low fuel pressure effectively. Also probe the hot wire going to the pump to make sure it's getting decent voltage but that shouldn't have changed during the install.
