should i trade my evo 9 mr se for a evo 10?
keep the IX. if you're going to trade, i'd wait untill '10 or '11 to get a X, after they work out some of the bugs, and give it a power bump. that's actually what i'm planning on doing. i want a X MR, but i want to see what they are going to do with them in the next couple years first. i may wait till the last year of the X for a special edition MR. I'm still keeping the IX though. it's a classic. it'll go to track duty.

You need to go test drive a 10, at least a few times, and make that decision for yourself.
If the IX and the X were both available brand new from dealerships, I'd have a very hard time deciding. But since they're not, well, it was an easy choice.
Anyways, drive the 10 a few times, then drive your 9. If you have modded your MR,. that makes a little difficult to compare. But basically, the 10 isn't as fast the 9 stock, but, in my opinion handles much better. No one has really pushed the 4B11 yet, but it seems to be a promising platform.

I thought about doing the same thing with my ix, considering that I owe less than what the car is worth. But I'd be losing money and I hate losing money. Plus I love going to the dealer and not seeing not one used ix on the lot. That let me want to keep mine even more.

agree with the 335i for luxury.
other than that keep the ix even though the X is pretty nice but like others said wait for the next one.
