Hood Dampers or Hood Lift Kits
Hood Dampers or Hood Lift Kits
To those who have them or have opened a hood with them. Tein markets theirs as Hood Dampers which should have no spring action to lift the hood at any point or any great resistance when closing the hood. Others I've seen marketed as "Hood Lift Kits" which look as if they use Gas Springs with enough pressure to lift the hood by itself and create a greater resistance when closing the hood.
I've opened several using the Tein Dampers but non with "Hood Lift Kits". The Teins seem to work exactly like dampers as you have to lift the hood to whatever position by hand and they stay there.
My question is which do you like better?

The Tein Dampers are better.. ive seen the ones with the spring action and they dont look very practicale. it can sometimes throw up a carbon hood and it doesnt look right. Damper Type is my choice.
