Will Evo prices increase?
Many dealers are trying hard to get rid of Evos they have on their lot for Mitsu's August advertising bonus. Does this mean that come September, they won't be willing to negotiate as much on these things? In the case of my dealership, they have had 3-4 Evos on their lot for about 2-3 months. I had them from $3000 over MSRP down to invoice just like THAT. But, unfortunately, I couldn't swing the payment at the moment. Do y'all think this will last?
They may be getting ready for the 2004 models. They may also want to get there numbers up for sales this year. This was the first year for the Evo was in the state so they went over MSRP. Price will go back up to MSRP soon but you will be able to negotiate. If they are letting them go for invoice that is a great deal.
Historically August is not the greatest month for car sales and this August is no exception. People are on vacation, enjoying the end of Summer, people of all ages are getting ready to go back to school, etc.
I'm not saying you couldn't get a good deal in Sept-Oct, just now is very good time to buy.

Evo prices would increase if:
*fix the issues with the clutch and deceleration noise
*put a damn clearcoat over the paint
*import even less of them
Notice the first two items are things required to increase demand. The third item is reduced supply.
That is how you make Evo prices go up.
