Aftermarket Clutch

guys, from personal experiences, is it better to replace the clutch on a 6sp MR, with the OEM part, or go afetrmarket?? note, i dont race, or go to the track, but i do have boltons and make ~340awhp. since the OEM clutch can easily handle ~340hp, should one even consider upgrading ??
i would want a clutch that will do well in average every day driving, easy and light shifting, meaning I dont want a racing clutch, nor do i want one that is 'rough', harsh, or puts extra stress on the flywheel or pressure plate, or the tranny itself...

P.S. whats usually meant by "stage1", "stage 2" clutch? or there is no generic definition, and it varies from brand name to brand name ?

i looked at it before, but it seems like the Exedy clutches are better suited for higher performance Evo's... mine is a DD, with just boltons...

They work great for dd's and low horse power cars. I would put one on a bone stock car

go with the exedy twin hd.....it really isn't that bad for dd. yes it is just a bit stiffer than stock. nothing you can't get used to. you won't be disappointed.

Exedy is one of the most popular movers for us.
I put one in my car and love it.

Putting a twin disk in a DD Evo that isn't tracked is just dumb. There are far better, more reliable, and cheaper choices out there. If you were happy with your stock clutch performance and lifespan then sure, get another one. If you'd like to upgrade check out that Exedy Stage 1 mentioned or an ACT 2900 with full-face street disc. RRE's X-clutch would also be one I recomend looking at.
