mr gauge question

There is an extra wire on my MR gauge interface connected to the positive battery always on wire on the radio harness. Does anyone know what it might be connected to? Thanks.

The picture below is just an example of the gauge harness, not my actual part. Because of the wire spliced into the battery line, I can't pull my gauge harness out to get a good photo.

It looks like a ground wire.

I was just using that picture as an example, because of the wire I can't pull my harness out to get a good photo.

It is not factory.

DId you buy ur car used?

Its a good spot to tap into a fused power source...

Maybe someone hardwired up a satellite radio / radar detector / gauges or something.

Take 5 mins and pop off your radio cover and pull out your radio and trace it!

Pulling out the glove box and looking back there you will probably find what you need.

Thanks, I just wanted to be sure it was not factory.
After thinking about it, I believe I know what it is.
