Evo windshield same as reg. lancer?

Does the Evo have the same windshield as the regular lancer? I'm looking to replace mine on my evo and the shops keep giving quotes for lancer only.

HELP!?

The Evo windshield is 3 lbs lighter.

The regular Lancer windshield will fit and costs about $500 less.

You decide which is more important.

its the same size but the glass is thicker and it weighs a little more. If you dont car about the weight im sure its a better idea to get the lancer one so it doesnt crack so easily again. Might is cracked...im jsut dealing with it. Im also not sure if the lancer one has a tint strip on the top since the evo doesnt

evo is also Lancer you have to understand that. but the shop should use your vin to determine the windshield you need.

When I had mine replaced I weighed both.

Stock window weighed 24.5 lbs.
Replacement weighed 27.5 lbs.

The replacement was from PPG. So in all fairness, other replacement brands might have different weights.

I would get one from the dealership that way you dont have mixed match getto lookin windows, thats just like having different tires all around on your car.
Dont be cheap get what goes on your car, i mean come on you bought a evo not a civic!

i have noted (because i detail cars and notice small differences) that the evo windshield is flatter just look at it from an angle you can see how flat it is.i had a civic with stock windshield it broke and i had the ins.pay for an aftermarket.it was terrible it would give you a headache looking through it.always replace w/ oem.3 lbs is not that big a deal but i would replace with evo.

I cracked mine on sunday...Today the guy came and replaced mine I went with the lancer ws. It does not look any different. I watched how he did it so if ever it happens again I can just do it my self. When I picked up the lancer windshield it felt the same weight so your not going to notice any difference. for over 500$ cheaper ill take the extra 3 pounds.
