Yeah, vent to atmosphere BOV valves will do that.

Recommend you run the Evo 9 metal RS valve. This is a cheaper solution and will work fine unless you're running a bad-*** turbo.

Full boost on your car should be a little higher than 1 bar. 1 bar=14.7 psi, stock boost is 19, just so you know when you're hitting full boost.

Bov

Do not get another bov the stock one is fine until you really start increasing in boost. The aftermarket bov doesn't work well with the mass air sensor unless they recirculate anyway. The only advantage you get from aftermarket at the lower mods is a louder blow off and thats stepping into ricer world. Do the typical newbies mods that well proven intake filter kit, exhaust upgrade, ecu tuning, cams, intercooler and pipes and work your way up.

was it boosting low when you got it, or after you put the bov on?

19 psi = 1.31 bar. You can type this into Google search and it will do simple conversions for you.

Revert the car to stock and check for boost leaks. Make sure your boost gauge is tapped into the right line. Search the how-tos on this site for the correct location.
