I find myself lowering audio so that it is barely comprehesible to listen to the car. Sometimes not to enjoy but to fret if something has broke. Luckily all the sounds are "normal". It is a force of habit I had to do this all the time in the GSX. If it was not one thing in that car it was another.

Mostly Rock. Lot of Linkin Park. When I drive hard the first minute or so of Crystal Method "Name of the Game" just fires me up.

I would say on a heavy day I like: Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Killswitch Engage, Mudvayne, or Slipknot. BUT ... Some days call for some classic rock: Journey, Lynryd Sknyrd, SRV, Van Halen, ect.
